The Disney Day | How To Pack + What To Wear

The Disney Day | How To Pack + What To Wear

Hello one and all! Welcome to this week’s post in which we are going to be discussing all things Disneyland! I’ve been wanting to write a Disney post like this for a really long time. Now that I’m getting my Annual Pass it seems like the perfect time!

Originally I wanted to make one extensive post but I’ve decided to split this up into two parts. Disneyland and California Adventure can be a super overwhelming and it can be hard to determine how to make the most of your day. Today we’re going to be discussing what to wear and what to pack!

What To Wear

Figuring out what cute Disney outfit I’m going to wear to the parks is always my favorite and least favorite part. As a blogger, I’m always looking for those perfect photos and what better place to take photos than the happiest place on earth? However, striking the right balance between cute and comfortable can be difficult.

It’s still quite warm here in California so I opted for a comfy pair of shorts, a simple Disney tee from Target, comfy shoes and a flannel. I also added hints of Disney through my jewelry with a few Disney and Alex & Ani bracelets. Also, let me know if you guys would want a full look book on Disney outfit inspiration for different seasons.

PS. Make sure to peruse instagram and search for small Disney shops! In my opinion, the smaller Disney shops make some of the cutest Disney merch! Here are a few of my faves:

What To Pack

I’m the kind of person that hates carrying around a big heavy purse when I go to theme parks I’ll always opt for a small backpack instead! My black Kate Spade backpack has been an absolute lifesaver for long days out in LA and it’s perfect for a day at Disney too! Let’s take a look at what’s inside.

Reusable Water Bottle

It get HOT in the parks (both Florida and California) and it's super important to stay hydrated! rather than paying $5 for a water bottle every time, bring a reusable water bottle with you! I recommend something like a Contigo so it keeps your water cold all day long!

Make up Wipes

I don’t know about the rest of you but I absolutely HATE wearing my make up longer than 8 hours. When it’s late, I’m sweaty, and I’m tired and all I want to do is take off my make up having these in your bag can be a real life saver.

Mini Deodorant

Nobody has time to be sweaty AND stinky. I always take a travel size deodorant with me in case I need a little extra protection throughout the day.

Camera/ Disposable Camera

It’s no secret that Disneyland is the cutest place to take photos! Of course, you can always use your phone but I personally love bringing my Sony a5100 with my 50mm lens everywhere with me. Its a small, portable camera (and it’s perfect for vlogging) and gives me clean, crisp photos!

I also recently purchased a disposable camera and have been dying to take it into the parks with me. Ive really been into printing out more of my photos. I feel like disposable cameras are a great way to capture moments and get that really cool vintage feel to your photos.

Portable Charger

If you only decide to bring one thing on this list it better be this one. I’ve been stuck at Disney with 1% battery and it’s no bueno. Even if you bring your charging cable and manage to find an open outlet, I still recommend buying an actual portable charger. Nothing ruins your day more than having to camp out at an outlet for 45 minutes while your phone only charges 20%. Disney does sell the Fuel Rods which are about $20 a piece and can be swapped out at any fuel rod station. However, I recommend you go to target and grab one for $10. Save your self some cash.

I hope you guys enjoyed today’s blog post and hopefully this helps you prep for a day at Disneyland!

Love Always,

The Honest Pisces
